Alton Recovery came to us needing a website from the ground up—no branding, no logo, and no existing site to work from. They provide multiple levels of care for substance abuse and addiction, including detox, residential programs, and a range of therapy offerings for individuals, families, and groups. At the time, their facility was undergoing renovations, and they shared inspiration photos of the space to guide the overall tone and feel of the site. Our job was to build a 7-page website that reflected the calm, restorative environment they were creating in person, while also laying the foundation for future growth and visibility.
Since the client didn’t have a visual identity in place yet, the biggest challenge was pulling visual direction from something non-digital—in this case, the renovation inspiration for their facility. We needed to create a look and feel that evoked the same sense of safety and calm, and also helped establish credibility for a brand-new recovery center. Another key piece was scalability. The client was planning to invest in SEO right after launch, so the site had to be structured in a way that allowed for future pages, blog posts, and service expansions without requiring a full rebuild.
We started by translating the interior design mood into a soft, supportive digital aesthetic—clean layouts, soothing colors, and grounded typography. From there, we developed a sitemap that clearly outlined both what Alton Recovery treats and how they approach care. Each page was designed with thoughtful content blocks that could be easily repurposed or expanded as the site grows. We also included space for future SEO-driven content to be layered in seamlessly. The result is a clean, welcoming website that offers a sense of trust right away, while staying flexible enough to grow alongside the business.
